Beers And Cameras; Afternoon South Park Walkabout

“South Park San Diego will be hosting their 1st Annual Daytime Walkabout on Saturday, June 8th! The event will be held from 10am-2pm and will focus on family, fitness, health & wellness with lots of fun activities throughout neighborhood businesses that will keep you moving, help you stay healthy, make you feel good, and offer fun activities for the whole family.”

Thus, we will be switching gears a bit that weekend to meetup in South Park for some street shooting and hangs! Also, Parch has kindly provided us with a few cases of their increadibly tasty non-alchoholic cocktails to taste and shoot and we’re making a bit of a contest about it!

Get your free can of Parch (while supplies last), use a fellow photographer as your muse and snap a few photos. Post your favorite image by June 15th, follow and tag @DrinkParch @RadHabitsJuice and of course @BeersAndCameras for a chance to be chosen as favorite photo winning a $25 gift certificate to Rad Habits Juice!

11:00 AM Start at Park at Beech St and 28th St. Pick up you PARCH! We will have drinks by Original 40 Also on hand

12:15 PM Photowalk starts (see route map below). Stop by RAD Habits Juice, Yoga and other activities

1:30 PM Fall Brewing (30 min stop)

2:30 PM End of photowalk; Cedar and 28th St.

3 PM EXTRA CREDIT: Harland Brewing

Join us for our San Diego Photowalk — Hosted by CineStill on Saturday, July 29th starting at 12pm! This photowalk is perfect for photographers of all levels and a great way to explore more of the city of San Diego and meet fellow film photography enthusiasts.

We'll meet at the Embarcadero Marina Park at 12pm and then embark on a casual stroll through the scenic streets of San Diego. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, this photowalk is a great way to meet like-minded individuals and hone your skills. So grab your camera, bring some film, put on your walking shoes, and get ready to snap some amazing shots! We can't wait to see you there!

GETTING THERE:

Embarcadero Marina Park is located by the Seaport Village. The park is easy to get to via public transportation, ride shares, or the San Diego trolley system. If you choose to drive yourself, there is a parking lot available at the park. You can also park at the Seaport Village, but they do charge a parking fee. Please find parking information here

 

THE WALK:

We're estimating our walk will take around 1.5-2 hours to complete, so bring comfortable shoes. We'll be walking through several areas around San Diego, which will take you through the convention center, PetCo Park, and the Gaslamp district, before looping back and returning to the Embarcadero Marina Park.

I'm Still Developing and Nelson's Photo Supplies are strong supporters of the analog community, providing processing and scanning services for film photographers in and out of the San Diego area. Beers & Cameras San Diego ( A chapter of Beers & Cameras) have been putting together photography meetups across San Diego as a way for photographers of all skill levels to socialize and connect with each other.
