This is IT! Print Trade Day!

Meet at Lemon Poppy Kitchen at 3:30 PM. At 4 PM SHARP, we will walk about one block to the studio for the print trade. By 5 or so, we will walk around the neighborhood a bit and end up at Verdugo Bar just a couple blocks away. Street parking shouldn’t be too bad anywhere off Eagle Rock Blvd. or especially off Verdugo.

Below, find all the details for the print trade (sign-up required on or before 7/2). If you miss sign-up or simply don’t want to join, we would still love for you to come to the trade with or without photos to give out. Just be aware you may not receive photos back unless someone printed and is giving away extras.

PRINT TRADE SIGN-UP FORM

Very detailed notes below so everyone understands. But contact info for questions and TL;DR is at bottom. Do me a HUGE favor and read everything at least once, first ;-)

Format

This is not a "trade" so much as an "everyone gets one." We will all print one image of ours for every person signing up. If 26 people sign up, we will print 25 copies to pass out. We would also then receive 25 images that day (one from everyone else). Cost: Printing costs money, of course, but we never take money for our events, and this one is no exception. Open to all.

Who Can Attend?

As with ALL B&C events, this print trade is open to EVERYONE, even if you've never been to a meetup before. Even if you do not participate in the print trade, you may still attend the print trade on 7/9 to hang out, see everyone's artwork, and see the studio I (Adam) work in often (there will be really neat artwork around to see, and then we'll head to Verdugo Bar afterwards for the evening portion of the B&C meetup). The only exception to all this is that, while our meetups, photowalks, and events are open to all ages, exactly who can or cannot attend the evening bar parts is always contingent on that venue's policies. The print trade will happen before this at a different location with no age limitations or drinking or anything like that. So all ages welcome for that portion at least.

Dates

7/2 - Last In-Person Print Trade Reminder (See B&C on IG for 7/2 Meetup Details in Chinatown)
7/2 - Midnight the Evening of 7/2 Is the Submission Deadline for This Sign-Up Form
7/3 - Look for Email with Final Count for Number of Prints to Make
7/5 - Last Day to Submit and Pay for Prints Through 35MPro (by 3 PM)
7/9 - In-Person Print Trade Takes Place in Glassell Park Before Verdugo Bar Meetup (that's right, only 1 week between meetups because I had to miss a week if you didn't notice...)

Everyone who signs up commits to print up to 25 8x10 copies of an image on photo paper (this can be any home print, etc., as long as it's done on something decent and at least 8x10). If we go over 26 sign-ups, we will either split the group into two or we'll confirm everyone is okay with more before sticking to one group.

Again, everyone will get one copy of an image from everyone else, in theory. So if 20 people sign up (final sign-up count will be messaged to everyone within one day of this form closing), we'll make 19 prints and hand one out to each person that shows up. We will then also receive 19 8x10 images from the other fellow print trade participants. This way, everyone gets everyone else's amazing artwork!

Where to Print

You may print anywhere as long as you commit to a decent photo print. BUT, if you need help printing, 35MPro is offering a deal just for us: $3 per 8x10. Submit your image to them via email and pay by 3 PM on Wednesday, July 5, to get your images printed and brought to the print trade for you (you can also go pick them up early if you want).

Email must include 3 things: Image file to print, specification for matte or glossy, and email proof of RSVP (screenshot is ok) for print trade (the email confirmation of the submission of this form).

Adam will pick up before event, so no need to come visit the shop.

TL;DR

We'll tell you final count for how many prints to have made by 7/3. Then, print that many 8x10s (good quality/photo paper) to bring to the print trade on 7/9. Then, receive that many prints from everyone else and end the evening at Verdugo Bar. Pro Tip: Bring something to keep those prints safe when you leave!
